Applications

A piezometer for groundwater is a device used to measure groundwater pressure at a particular point. Because it consists of a perforated pipe or casing installed into the ground at a desired depth. The electric piezometer tip is usually open or covered with a porous material because it allows water to enter the pipe while preventing soil particles from clogging it. The water level inside the piezometer rises and falls with changes in the groundwater level.
Digital Water Level Recorder (DWLR): The DWLR is a digital device equipped with sensors and data logging capabilities to accurately measure and record the water level at the piezometer. It includes a pressure sensor or other technology to detect the water level changes. Because the DWLR can store data internally and may also have the capability to transmit data wireless to a central database or monitoring station.
